Hi. I'm Stephen Keoseian, the proud owner of Hersey Custom Shoes.  Just over 2 years ago, I happened to watch a documentary about Hersey Custom Shoes.  Having been in the shoe repair business for more than 15 years and the third generation to run Keosa Brothers Shoe Repair, I was more than intrigued by what I saw.  So, I decided to take a road trip to Maine and see Bart Hersey and his shoes for myself.  This trip began a friendship and future business venture that must have been meant to be.  Bart had decided it was time to retire and after getting to know me, knew he had found the right person to take over his business.  I am lucky to say that Bart was confident I would continue to produce quality custom shoes and provide the exceptional customer service his customers were accustomed to.
 
Hersey Custom Shoes began in 1982 when Bart Hersey converted his barn into a family run shoe factory.  Three years later his product was rated the #1 Running Shoe in the World by Runners World Magazine.  The tradition of creating quality custom made shoes now continues.  I was fortunate to be able to spend time working with Bart to learn his skills and secrets to creating an amazing, qualtiy, and comfortable shoe.  I look forward to continue to carry on the tradition and provide my customers with the same individual attention Bart gave to his.
